PM Johnson’s egregious double standards

Letter to The Guardian:

Boris Johnson’s series of tweets on the Black Lives Matter campaign, as analysed by your political reporter Peter Walker  “ What Johnson said... and what it means,” 13 June 2020; https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/jun/12/we-cannot-edit-our-past-boris-johnsons-statue-tweets-explained) included the egregiously hypocritical criticism “it is clear the protests have been sadly hijacked by extremists intent on violence.”
This is quite some chutzpah from a man who once - when he was a journalist in Brussels- agreed to collude with an old Etonian friend, Darius Guppy, to beat up a fellow journalist because he was snooping around Guppy’s dodgy business activities; and who, when a member of the notorious hooligan drinking group - the Bullingdon Club- at Oxford University, which regularly trashed restaurants after nights of alcohol-fuelled entitlement.
The man has a history of shoddy  behaviour and demonstrates no personal moral compass.
